HIJAB IN ISLAM

Islam is a religion of simplicity. In Islam there is guidance for everyone as to how one should live their life. One of these is about Hijab for women. Muslim women all around the world cover themselves up in a proper way according to the teachings of the Holy Quran. Hijab is a sign of modesty and reverence. Some non-Muslims believe that it is a restriction on women but this is not so. The Hijab is meant to e worn in such a way that all the part of a women’s body is covered except the face and hands. Women can also cover their heads with a scarf and the rest of the body with a gown that is known as Abaya. This ensures that a woman does not get unnecessarily noticed and stalked by the evil people in the society. That is why it is also forbidden for women to wear such fitted and revealing clothes that gather attention towards them.

So Hijab is not a responsibility on women. It is a choice given to them to stay modest and innocent. So they should opt for it with their own will rather than under some sort of coercion. Because Islam is not an extremist religion, in fact it is a religion of piece that gives the due rights to every person.
